Town Council Work Session – 3/16/2010

The members of the Town Council will be meeting this coming Tuesday (March 16th) at the Pulaski Senior Center for their monthly work session. The agenda is below. One item I should point out is that this work session will include some discussion about the budget for the next fiscal year. At this meeting, Council will consult with Clarke Wallcraft, Executive Director of the Pepper’s Ferry Regional Wastewater and Treatment Authority. Hopefully he will be presenting some good news on pricing now and for the coming year. Since we are no longer in drought like conditions, there has been discussion of lowering the rates from their current price based on drought to a new rate based on higher usage. (Due to fixed operating costs for the treatment plant, rates go up during droughts.) Currently, the PFRWTA is giving rebates to participating governments in lieu of a rate decrease.
